I captured this honeybee on a sunflower in the sunflower fields at Lynd's Fruit Farm. The colors were so vibrant against a blue sky. 

A large, docile European hornet landed on a book that I had sitting on an outdoor table and just sat there. I picked up the book and it kindly posed for me while I snapped a picture with my cell phone.

My granddaughter, Emilee, discovered this monarch chrysalis under the Indian artifact on the porch. It hatched 10 days later.
