I am always the first to rise, very early, on Christmas morning. I enjoy the Christmas tree lights and peace and quiet before starting the cooking.

My husband, Ray Ladrick, made me laugh during our first dance. We have been dancing and laughing for 29 years.

I captured this honeybee on a sunflower in the sunflower fields at Lynd's Fruit Farm. The colors were so vibrant against a blue sky.
