October 2024: Oh my gourd!

Giant pumpkin, ranked 25th largest in world in 2024, grown in our backyard!

Mt. Pleasant Garden Club members painted gourds last August at the Schane Farm. Displaying their finished gourds are Patty Quaglia and Annette Butler.

My friend, Peilin, makes fantastic designs from gourds. This teapot gourd is shaped and painted beautifully.

Our grandson, Lawson Rieman, likes to collect seeds. Unknown to his parents, he planted seeds in the landscaping around their home. Mom and dad noticed the extra plants in the landscaping and allowed them to grow. Here is Lawson’s first harvest!
