Ohio Cooperative Living wins Haggard Award

Ohio Cooperative Living has won the prestigious 2018 George W. Haggard Memorial Journalism Award from NRECA.

The Haggard Award annually recognizes the electric co-op publication demonstrating the most forthright, concise, and balanced presentation of ideas advancing the objectives of electric cooperatives and their members.

“Congratulations to Managing Editor Jeff McCallister, Associate Editor Rebecca Seum, Graphic Designer Anita Cook, and former Associate Editor Samantha Kuhn,” said Patrick Higgins, OEC director of communications and member services. “Buoyed by the support of Magen Howard, Adam Specht, Chris Hall, and Nila Moyers, the magazine staff’s hard work, diligence, and commitment to journalistic excellence and the cooperative spirit are both inspirational and unmatched.”

The Ohio Cooperative Living team will receive the Haggard Award at the NRECA Annual Meeting in Orlando next month.
